Some of the friendly faces you'll see in Caer Galen

The Barony of Caer Galen is the Boulder, CO (and surrounding area) branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a worldwide, not-for-profit Middle Ages and Renaissance recreation organization. The fundamental principle of the SCA is participation – we learn by doing and have lots of fun in the process! Activities and interests in the SCA include the combat arts of Armored Fighting, Fencing and Archery and the gentler arts of Costuming, Cooking, Dancing, and Textiles (just to name a very, very few). Our guiding philosophies are Chivalry, Courtesy and Honor towards all.

Our members come together from all walks of life. We gather during fighter practices, tournaments, and feasts. We enjoy each other’s friendship and camaraderie while experiencing an idealized style and grace of another time and place. If you have any questions about joining our merry band, please contact our Hospitaller. All ages are welcome, and you can participate as much or as little as you like.
